Happy Valley received it's name when Nick Morrow climbed up on the train tressel over Pine Street and painted "Welcome to Happy Valley".  The actual boundaries may vary depending on who you talk to.  For the purposes of this newsletter Happy Valley stretches from West Street to Park Street and from the old rail yard to Meadow Street.  Many people who live there have grown up in the community and have seen many changes over the years.  Happy Valley News is an attempt to capture the history of this unique neighborhood.
